Itinerary South Valley Cusco

Day 1

Our tour will start at the indicated time and at the agreed meeting point, the vehicle will pick us up to begin the tour of the southern Cusco valley. Our first destination will be to visit the archaeological center of Tipon, and there we will be able to observe a spectacular hydraulic system. Irrigation system that is still serving agriculture nowadays. Then we will proceed to visit Pikillaqta, the old walled citadel of the Wari Empire. Finally, we will visit Andahuaylillas, whose main attraction is the Catholic temple considered the Sistine Chapel of America. It is a Catholic temple from the colonial era with a beautiful decoration and mural painting of the seventeenth and eighteenth century. Then we will return to the city of Cusco and on the way we will go through the village of Saylla, where you can taste the delicious pork rinds (optional). We will be returning to the city of Cusco at approximately 15:30 hrs.
