Itinerary Trekking Salkantay to Machu Picchu 5 Days / 4 Nights
Very early we will pick you up at your hotel, and then drive to the town of Mollepata, an approximate trip of 3 hours. At this point we will have time to buy what is necessary before starting our walk. The guide will give us some brief indications and we will arrive at Challacancha, at this point our Salkantay trek begins.

Activities: Hike from Challacancha – Inka Canal – Soraypampa and in the afternoon visit to the Humantay Lagoon.
Initial altitude: 3,600 – 3,700 meters above sea level. (Challacancha – Canal Inka)
Altitude camp: 3,910 meters above sea level. (Soraypampa)
Maximum altitude: 4,200 meters above sea level. (Laguna Humantay)
Meals: Lunch, Tea time, Dinner.
Lodging: Outdoor camp.
In the first hour we will taste a coca tea, and later we will meet to have breakfast and then start with our walk. On this tour we will see beautiful landscapes and we will have the Abra Salkantay destination at 4650 m. n. m., where we will have views of the Humantay glacier and the snowy Salkantay. At the highest point of the trek we will have a small ceremony as thanks to the Pachamama and the Apus. Later we will arrive at a point for our lunch and afterwards we will continue our trek to the Chaullay camp.

In the first hour we will take our coca tea and then our breakfast. Then we will start with our walk and we will see landscapes and different plantations of quinoa and pomegranate. The guide will give us explanations about some flowers and their importance in the Andean culture. We continue with our walk until we reach Sahuayacu at this point we will have our lunch. Then we will board the car to go to Santa Teresa, at this point you can visit the Cocalmayo hot springs (optional, not included), complex with 3 pools of different temperatures.

In the early hours we will take our breakfast and we will walk towards the Hydroelectric, on the way we will see the magic and beautiful nature. Once at the hydroelectric we will taste our delicious lunch and afterwards we will start our trek towards the town of Aguas Calientes, where we will rest and the next day we will visit Machu Picchu.
In Aguas Calientes you have the possibility to visit the thermal baths (NOT included in the package).

In the early hours of the morning we will start our walk to the citadel of Machu Picchu, approximately 1 hour and a half. Then we will enter the citadel of Machu Picchu and our guide will explain everything about Machu Picchu, then you will have time to take pictures and tour the place. Then we will return to the town of Aguas Calientes and go to the train station to board the train from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo. At this point we will take the bus to the city of Cusco.
