What to see in Pisac. The city of Pisac is located in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, approximately 45 minutes from Cusco. Pisac is a beautiful place to visit when you arrive in Cusco. In Pisac, you can find handicrafts, jewelry, markets, hotels, restaurants, and the archaeological center.
Pisac Market
The Pisac Handicraft Market is the most famous in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Here, you can find a wide variety of handicrafts (textiles, ceramics, musical instruments, souvenirs, and local clothing), as well as gold and silver jewelry. This market is open every day from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. It is recommended to bring cash in soles.

Pisac Archaeological Center
To visit the Pisac archaeological center, you will need a partial Cusco tourist ticket, which costs 70 soles and gives you access to various tourist attractions in the Sacred Valley and is valid for two days. At Pisac, you can see impressive Inca terraces, the famous Temple of the Sun, and the Intihuatana. Also, next to the archaeological center, you will see the Inca cemetery, a very important attraction. If you go on your own or with a private tour, you can make the most of your visit to this archaeological site, as it has many important sites and exploring the archaeological park will take three hours or more. If you go on a shared group tour, you will only visit part of the archaeological center.

To get to the city of Pisac, you can choose between a private or shared tour, or you can request private or shared transportation from Cusco to Pisac.

If you’re traveling on your own, you have two options: you can request a private transfer from Cusco, or if you prefer a shared transfer, you’ll need to head to the bus station located on Puputi Street. Shared buses depart from there.
